How to join SLJH Orchestra

Seven Lakes Orchestra welcomes beginning orchestra students of any grade level with minimal to no playing experience.  Beginning Orchestra students will be assigned an instrument-specific First Year Orchestra Class and will learn the fundamentals of their instrument with other beginners.  Beginners have multiple performance opportunities throughout the year as soloists and with the combined First Year Orchestra (FYO) ensemble.

  Course options are Violin Class, Viola Class, Cello Class, and Bass Class.   (These are the only instruments offered in Orchestra.)

Students of any grade level with significant string instrument experience are invited to audition for placement into a mixed-instrument performing ensemble.  Please contact Mr. Hoefler for more information regarding this process.
